I tried to buy my pasta-obsessed nephew a game for his birthday… and accidentally ended up making one instead.

Hi, I’m Maryam, the creator behind Tastensi Games.

This project started with a very simple idea: I wanted to find a pasta-themed board game for my nephew’s birthday because he's obsessed with spaghetti. Something fun, silly, and easy for the whole family to enjoy together. But when I searched for one, I realized something surprising—it didn’t exist.

So I decided to make one myself.

What began as a small idea for a birthday gift slowly turned into sketches, prototypes, and late-night testing sessions. I wanted to create something he would love, but also something that would actually be fun to play again and again.

When I finally built the first prototype and we played it together, I realized it was bigger than just a gift. It was the kind of game that made people laugh, compete, and say “one more round” without thinking.

That’s how Tastensi Games was born.

What started as a simple homemade birthday project has now grown into a fully developed tabletop game ready for production—and the beginning of something much bigger.

For me, this project is still rooted in the same feeling as that first idea: creating something simple, joyful, and worth sharing around the table.

Launching on Kickstarter is the next step in bringing that idea to life, and sharing it with more families, game nights, and pasta lovers than just mine.
